Who I am
Hey there! Iām a first year Computer Engineering student at the University of Waterloo. I enjoy mostly lower level programming and firmware development in C, but other stuff is cool too. I have a strong passion for learning and research, and Iām looking forward to being able to contribute to the knowledge of the world and providing powerful tools to acquire that knowledge. I enjoy working on passion projects, programming, cooking, sewing, and am interested in the arts, despite still looking for the proper medium. In my work, Iām organized, efficient, communicative, disciplined, and adaptable.

Things I've Done
- VP of Technology at Junior Achievement, a student led entrepreneurship program where I learned about basic product development and marketing
- Led the development of a demo game for the purposes of learning C# and expanding my knowledge of standard programming algorithms, workflows, and design practices. (Summer-Winter ā24)
- Played on the Halifax Grammar Varsity Basketball team ā23-24 where I developed resilience and learned to work in a team environment which comes with adversity.
- Created a 2d 'display' on a 'bare metal' stm32 setup with two servos and a UVled array to display lines onto a phosphorescent screen, with controllable brightness using PWM.
-
Education and Skills
- IB Diploma achieved at Halifax Grammar School.
- Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo ā30.
- I am very comfortable with writing C# programs and working with frameworks such as monogame for development in C#, and I have a solid ;) understanding of object oriented design best practices.
- I am very comfortable programming in C, and understand its compilation process as well as best practices and how it can be used in development. Check out my GitHub for a couple things I made to demonstrate some of my knowledge!
- I am familiar with HTML, CSS, Blazor, and quite competent with C++.
-
Work Experience
- Work(ing) as a Manufacturing Software Developer at Ford Motor Company (Winter '26), using .NET to develop software that validates the function of hardware in a factory environment.
- Volunteered at Future Stars Basketball, coaching and refereeing youth basketball for 10 weeks and coordinating with other coaches, as well as teaching youth how to play better and teaching them skills on how to be better people through sportsmanship. (Summer 2023)
- Worked at Frontline Traffic Control controlling traffic through road construction sites, and learning more about different kinds of people and how to best work with them. I learned how to effectively communicate with people, especially over radio. (Summer 2024)

What I'm Doing
Iām currently working at Ford Waterloo as a manufacturing software developer. I'm also more generally looking into the variety of fields in computer engineering to look for which ones best suit the way I enjoy working and would likely be content with doing for at least a great portion of my life. Iām less concerned with the money and more concerned with how much I would enjoy engaging with the field for an extended period of time in working conditions, which can often take away passion, and also how in demand jobs in the field will be through the modernly uncertain future both economically and technologically.
